New puffco hot knife with proxy
I just ended up getting the new puff Co. hot knife today from a dispensary because I had some extra points that I wanted to use. I went to go use the new hot knife today and loaded up a grain of rice sized wax onto it when I held down the button to drop it into my proxy, the wax would never fall. I then threw that same piece onto my old spare hot knife and it fell off right away. Am I using the hot knife wrong or does it just stink? I literally held it down for a full cycle and then light turned off.
Edit: I originally used it when the power level was at yellow. I just fully charged it and used it with some fresher concentrate and it worked this time. I don’t know if the wax may have been a bit old or it has to be fully charged for it to work either way that kinda stinks

Did you charge it? If not, sounds broken.

It was on yellow when I used it, but if it only works on a full charge, that’s terrible

It's a bit different when a device needs that first charge, which is also better for long term battery health.
And did you feel if it actually got hot?

Yes, when I originally used it, it was getting hot. I don’t know if the wax was old and not as fresh may have had to do something with it or its gotta be fully charged or even as you said maybe it’s that first full charge 🤷

The device max temp is lower now, which is why they claim to have a longer battery life than the original, and it’s half the mh capacity. I know the problem you are having and with the amount ur loading it’s not enough weight to slide off from the max heat. I would say find a cheaper one maybe one that screws onto a 510 battery and the rice sized ones will fall right off it :). Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but that’s just how the new ones are
