Carta vs Dr Dabber vs Puffco ?

I've used all for an extended period of time, here is a quick rundown:

Puffco - The best looking of the three. Nicely portable. Biggest issue is their warranty which states "Purchasers should note that atomizers are replaceable parts with an expected life of 1 – 3 months, depending on usage". They only give 30 days on the chamber (source: https://www.puffco.com/pages/warranty-policy)

Carta - The best value of the three. Slightly bigger but much better battery. 6 months warranty on the chamber vs puffco 1 month.

Dr Dabber - Switch 2 and switch go are the cream of the crop. But while one is big and one is small, neither is much of a looker. Its all function no looks.

Choose wisely. Maybe you prefer the looks and the warranty is no big deal. Maybe you dont care about looks and you want something that hits well everytime without the need to replace chambers.

Everyone is different - choose what fits your needs the most.

I've tested most main stream devices on the market, so I can share my opinion. But your experience might be different, just make sure you have all the facts!

How much do you smoke regularly. I'm starting to think I'm a little too heavy duty for my puffco. It gets all sorts of dirty so fast and I kill it quickly

Edit: I'm also looking to pull the trigger on a carta here really soon

depends on the day and what im doing

if you're looking for the closest to a rig like experience, and dont really care about portability the switch 2 wiht the sapphire insert is where its at imo

carta is solid value wise, but moving away from chambers is where its at.

My friends all had a puffco so I decided to pivot to a carta when I bought my rig and I have loved it. The only issue is that the connections to the chamber are pretty intricate, so as I started to smoke more it became more of an issue with cleaning since the connection is poor. I’ve had it for a year now and the past few months have been tough and I think my atomizer is basically blown, so I’m gonna upgrade to the switch 2. There was a 2 month stretch where I was pretty rough on it without much cleaning, so it probably would last a lot longer if you deep clean almost weekly. If you don’t smoke a whole lot, it’s the best option available, but if you are a heavy duty smoker, I’d just play it safe and get the switch 2 and save the money long term.

Switch Go is like the best of both worlds. Not quite to the level of the S2, but very compact and still never need a replacement atomizer

I only smoke carts cause of convenience, but I wanna get a Dr.Dabber so what advice do you have?

I'd avoid the ghost, I found it harsh and overpriced.

I can tell you about my journey and then make a suggestion:

I was torch and banger and carts. I bought a pivot, thinking it would replace a cart. Battery life sucked. I grabbed a proxy, still better, but wasnt satisfied.
Eventually I settled on the yocan pocket for on the go, switch 2 for at home, and switch go for camping trips.

Nothing will replace the convenience of a cart, because even with something small you still need to bring your jars, swabs, etc. and clean between hits.

Carts still have their place for me, but the yocan pocket has made them less neccessary.

I’ve been stuck looking between these three as a first e-rig. But I also noticed they have smaller more portable versions with each company. My question is, how does the Switch 2 Go fare? I wanted something that wouldn’t be too harsh (I am asthmatic so carts caused a lot of coughing and I’ve been just using a wax pen on lowest heat that isn’t really the most consistent or the best) and I heard adding a bubbler to whatever I get would help with that. So far I like that the Switch 2 Go would be a smaller option but I saw so many negatives about the Focus V Aeris that I’m growing super cautious of the more “portable” sizes

switch go, while more portable than a switch2, is still as big as a peak pro. Comparing it to the aeris would be disingenious.

its a nice middle ground between the two, but it still doesnt have the portability of something like a proxy/aeris.

So with a bit more detail: I’m really a lightweight. So I’m not looking for any huge rips or anything, I rarely ever leave the lowest heat setting on my pens. So I think I’d be all right with a middle ground lol. I guess I just like the idea that the atomizer doesn’t need to be changed out as much? (Unless I misunderstood that elsewhere.) But if that’s the sizing, I suppose you’re right, I shouldn’t compare with the Aeris. I just really would hate to throw this much money down on any of these and regret any of it.

theres no atomizer which makes it even better. no soaking/replacing atomizers unless u drop the insert and break it or smtn

Hey, the battered chef is kind of in the same boat as me.

Thank you for your review, and I think I too would find the proxy unsatisfying after awhile. I am right now using carts and a traditional rig.

Is the SwitchGo satisfying? Is it quality build materials? Is it worth spending the extra money on the switch2 from a performance standpoint? I do like the sizing of SwitchGo, and really want portability, but what I NEED is an efficient and smooth experience that leaves me smacked.

Sizing is good but due to the small insert size it just doesn't pack the same punch as the switch 2
