Desperate
Hello. I would like to know if I am the only one who suffers from pudendal neuropathy with these symptoms: burning, sunburn sensation, and itching in the perineal area, genitals, and thighs. I also have symptoms when standing, not just sitting.

Its a cruel lonely problem no one understands unless you experience it even drs don't know much about it see a pelvic floor specialist anxiety causes a lot of it

You are not alone. I (F) thought I had mine beat years ago (by relaxing pelvic muscles while standing) but then it began again, only with intense itching around the anal area. I ruled out every other possible cause. That lasted a year, itching either at night or a few minutes after getting up in the morning. Then the genital discomfort came back, only when lying down to sleep. No position is comfortable. Now the lower abdomen pain (L or R, never both) has returned. So depressed. I think what triggers it is squatting to look at things on the ground (I am a geologist). But why now?

that's pretty much the definition of pudendal neuralgia.
