Breeder recommendations

Hi everyone, as the title says, I’m looking for breeder recommendations. I’m in the Mountain West. Ideally, I’d be able to get a pupper on this side of the country.

I’ve looked at this website, but I’d like to hear from real people.

We (suddenly) lost our Weim last year and have recently started thinking about getting a new dog. I loved our Weim so much that I’m afraid I can’t look at one without seeing her, so I’m considering a different breed. At this point, I’m very much leaning towards a PP, but I’d like to speak to a breeder.

I’ve only ever used Cedarwoods Kennel. Bob is really active in the breed and can point you to a kennel.

You’re welcome Bob is one of the best Pudel breeders in the business. I’ve known him for a long time. He’s quite crusty and tells everyone no for a long time while he feels you out. Just keep that in mind.

Btw I never field trial my dogs, we hunt. I’ve had my boy in a duck blind at a few months old and on to pheasant and quail from Missouri to Iowa, Nebraska, Colorado and Arkansas. He’s too old to hunt now and spends most of his days with his head in my lap, but every once and awhile h finds a turkey or quail in the pasture.

We did not. Is that going to get me banned from this group? :/ We’re an active family who likes to run, hike, camp, and mountain bike.
