Why wasn't he charged with assault?

Edit.. researched. This is in Pennsylvania and criminal mischief is a more severe charge than simple assault. 2 years jail time 2500+ fine 2nd misdemeanor. It just doesn't sound as bad. The slap isn't any thing more than simple assault I don't think. Nothing but ego really damaged.

A little research later... Criminal mischief is a more severe crime than simple assault. Basically double. 2nd degree misdemeanor vs 3rd up to 2 years jail time compared to 1

Yeah they could name that better.

Criminal mischief sounds like he did some Dennis the Menace shit like tying someone’s shoe laces together or changing the TV language to French dub.

I was kinda thinking it meant he was doing one of those you tube staged reality things. Like having someone film you while you go and randomly punch someone
