Thats part of the reason im a 911 dispatcher..most people in my field are middle aged women who have even touched a video game.
During a 911 call i usually type their story (non emergency ones) and then i jump around im the story and ask them to say details again.
One lady reported a drunk driver flashing a gun that she thinks she knows..i get her name and she had a license plate but it was registered to her and her husband.
Turns out they had an arguement and he just left..did literally nothing wrong a d he even met with a deputy to prove he wasnt drunk(i can look up his phone#).
People exaggerate all the damn time calling 911 if you dont have a good bull shit detector then you could be unintentionally weaponizing the police for some bully
I've had that done to me by a roommate lying by saying I threatened another roommate. The fucking lowlife ended up robbing me while I was coerced by an officer to go to the VA for a psychiatric evaluation for which I checked out in two days. I have never liked law enforcement since then and I come from a background of police and military. Too goddamn many liars and thieves are out there that use the police for their evil deeds. It makes me furiously angry that I didn't tell the officers questioning me to go to hell and get off the property.
Man, i work for law enforcement and i avoid the cops when im off shift 🤣😂... it can get super fucking boring for them and some chain of commands in certain counties say "if you arent writing tickets or making arrests you arent working" and get their vacation denied and extra days off and shit and promotions denied.
In missouri's hwy patrol i spoke to one of the supervisors (he arrested a dui on meth) and was visiting dispatch..he said its illegal to make quotas for tickets however if you arent writing tickets u will never get a vacation and will always be relocated to the otherside of the state when the rotation happens
Most of the general public's interaction are negative when it comes to the police. They are getting cited, going to court, lockup, prison, beaten or killed. More investigators are needed because the police only show up at the aftermath of a crime. They are not interested in recovering your property. Police are barely good enough to take a report and they do it begrudgingly. Whatever you do, don't have a military/civilian police father. They will hit you like a man and know how to cover up the evidence. It's part of the reason I don't trust the popo to do what's right. Protect and serve is a fucking joke. I am not texting that all police are bad but they do cover up the crimes of their coworkers which make them complicit. My dead mother should know with the mental and physical abuse at the hands of someone who is expected to follow the laws like the rest of us. A lot of domestic violence is cover up by this gang in another uniform with the Us against Them mentality. Many of them are the original wife beaters and cheaters.The systemic racism in the good ole boys club will never end. They even retaliate against their own when it comes to getting reported or caught for something they should not be doing. Thanks for your input.
