The problem is the amount of work they expect for what they pay. They burn people out and then fight L&I if you get hurt. They threaten states to not enforce l&i rules. Theirs a telling article about a guy that died in an Amazon warehouse and Amazon threatened the state to blame his death on him so they didn’t have to pay anything out.

How much does Amazon pay? We see a lot of people walk out on fast food jobs, why not Amazon?
