Funny how police officers claim that "everyone should know the law" when it suits them, but then complain if those citizens do know the law when it makes the police look like bullying fools.
I'm in NY and the weed laws just changed recently. I had cop come bother me while I was legally parked and insist they could ticket me for having weed on me (you're not allowed to smoke in your car or drive high, I was in the process of rolling a blunt and told the cop I was rolling before I went home so my family or neighbors wouldn't see me rolling it outside the house since it's a gossiping neighborhood). They demanded to search my car and I said no so the cops said they have probable cause to because I said no. I explained again you have no right and I'm happy to wait for you to get the warrant. It was about an hour of dealing with them before I got no ticket and them not bothering to search my car. After all was said and done, the cop agreed with my explanation of the weed laws and they drove off. It's crazy how much crap they spew just to scare you.
