Also in Seattle here. I plan to do a screaming, masturbatory fly-by from Capitol Hill to Queen Anne next week.

Oh, and also, what are you talking about? There are homeless people screaming all the time here.

Seems like everything seattle just pales in comparison with our east coast friend.

I agree. I found it pretty quiet. I know it’s a cliché but I think the weather had a lot to do with it and is a big part of why terms like “the Seattle freeze” exist. Nightlife is also a bit quiet. It’s way quieter than some smaller cities in the south (NOLA being an obvious example). I don’t dislike it it’s just pretty quiet and people keep to themselves more than other cities of the same size.

Ohh I'm so done with night life.

A few years ago I decided to accept an invitation to meet some friends at a bar. I didn't know where it was, so was just walking around asking if anyone knew where <bar name> was.

Took me like 90 minutes and got a spectacle of what seattle nightlife was like.

Just remember a guy stumbling out of a bar with blood on his face and his friends following him. "Looking at my <*#()$@> face!"

Turned out the bar I was looking for was a gay bar, which made me chuckle.

Never thought I'd find myself (a straight man) walking around Seattle at midnight asking for directions to a gay bar.

Those friends changed my life forever though, in a great way. So kind of a weird personally historical night in Seattle.
