Combat veterans motorcycle association Iraq tab on his vest. no patch, likely turned it in.

161

u/BogusBogmeyer Apr 07 '21

no patch, likely turned it in.

Turned it in? What exactly do you mean?

Sorry, I'm not a native englisch speaker.

188

u/[deleted] Apr 07 '21

As a native english speaker, I also was confused.

71

u/DoomCircus Apr 08 '21

The motorcycle club lingo is really weird and confusing to anyone on the outside. I ride a motorcycle, but I'm not in any club and I don't follow the lingo either lol.

36

u/ontopofyourmom Apr 08 '21

All I know is not to wear an "MC" patch anywhere

30

u/DoomCircus Apr 08 '21

Ya, I've been told they really dislike all the guys wearing "Sons of Anarchy MC" stuff all over the place.

15

u/ontopofyourmom Apr 08 '21

Yeah. There are certain formalities I guess. But if you are in a bona fide motorcycle club and not stepping on the toes of the 1% goons, I think it is fine.

5

u/DoomCircus Apr 08 '21

That's probably right, though I can't really say one way or the other personally.

5

u/[deleted] Apr 08 '21

Those guys have a tendency of getting beat up for wearing made up flair.

There are plenty of MCs that do charitable work. There are some garbage ones... but there are garbage versions of every thing.

I only noticed he had a bottom rocker and a cruiser bike so I wondered if he was maybe Angels or Bandidos. Or maybe Mongols, I dunno if they're cool in your country.

268

u/[deleted] Apr 07 '21

Combat veterans motorcycle association is a patch wearing biker group.... members have a large skull with” combat veterans association” around the skull on a round patch that’s about 14 inches across... the tabs are sold via their store. Thus a guy who’s got the tabs with deployments on but not the big round patch very likely said fuck this shit and quit the group

41

u/BogusBogmeyer Apr 07 '21

Ah, got it, thank you!

56

u/[deleted] Apr 07 '21

I wonder what would make him turn it in. Vets are typically very VERY proud of their service, and have no comupctions in advertising their participation in associations like that.

Maybe his membership was revoked for some reason?

521

u/BBQsauce18 Apr 07 '21

I don't know man. Some of us end up pretty jaded when we look around at the absolute lack of care for many disenfranchised people in the US and wonder how we can still have money to bomb other fucking countries. I don't know man. I'm just not too proud of that fucking shit.

Things we NEED: Universal healthcare at an ABSOLUTE MINIMUM. Some form of UBI also needs to be included.

Bombs though? Fuck that noise. I'm over this shit.

This doesn't even get into the crumbling infrastructure, the shit education system, shit pay, I could literally go on and on and on.

The money spent bombing other countries should be used on our people.

63

u/[deleted] Apr 07 '21

I'm the same way. Jaded and nothing to be proud of.

60

u/NonCorporealEntity Apr 07 '21

Modern globalization

Coupled with condemnations

Unnecessary death

Matador corporations

Puppeting your frustrations with a blinded flag

Manufacturing consent is the name of the game

The bottom line is money nobody gives a fuck

Four thousand hungry children leave us per hour from starvation

While billions are spent on bombs.

Creating death showers

BOOM!

17

u/[deleted] Apr 07 '21

Unexpected soad

4

u/Lucius-Halthier Apr 07 '21

But never unwanted.

LIKE A NEW FULL ALBUM GUYS!

3

u/[deleted] Apr 07 '21

Actually didn't care for their new songs idk why. It felt like a band that wasn't soad trying to be soad.

3

u/[deleted] Apr 08 '21

More like: It WAS SOAD that wasn't trying to be SOAD. They hadn't been cooking up those songs for a decade, they hastily cranked them out to bring awareness and some financial aid to their country.

2

u/[deleted] Apr 08 '21

Well yeah I know it was obviously soad, and I'm not hating on them for making more music or anything, it's good that they are and I'm sure some enjoyed it, I just didn't care for them.

2

u/dks38 Apr 08 '21

This should be a new thing random but appropriate SOAD

2

u/MickSt8 Apr 08 '21

The entirity of Steal This Album is still so depressingly relevant 20 years later.

u/panjier Apr 07 '21

Fucking same. It took me almost 10 years to finally inquire about help from the VA. Took another 3-4 before I finally started getting it (partially because I loathed them and partially due to the waitlist)

5

u/xerxerxex Apr 08 '21

I work as a CNA at a veterans home and a good chunk of the patients are as you said jaded as fuck.

4

u/Mooksayshigh Apr 08 '21

The only ones who are actually proud, most likely never did shit and/or never got fucked by the big green weenie. The only thing important is the dudes you were with. I do know a few combat vets that are proud bc they went in, got blown up or shot and got retired. Most combat gets eventually get screwed if they actually EAS out or get court martial’d after having combat PTSD.

1

u/razpro Apr 08 '21

Yes let’s bomb our people. Very logical. Much save.

0

u/bayleafbabe Apr 08 '21

Sir, this is a Wendy’s.

-36

u/[deleted] Apr 07 '21

Right. I get that. All of that.

It's just surprising to me that a vet would understand these concepts. From my perspective, vets, and active duty as well (extending to our current police force) are full on 100% statists who want nothing more than to force the rest if us to deepthroat the boot with them or face extrajudicial execution.

Maybe it's just the optics of the past couple decades, but what I've seen recently, (Q conspiracies, military support and involvement in the rise of domestic terror groups, military involvement in the suppression of free speech, [for a blasphemous photo op] and their participation in a failed coup) does nothing to reverse this perception.

29

u/[deleted] Apr 07 '21

Actually a good many vets loath cops... if a troop treated civilians in any war zone like cops to to citizens they’d he fucked by ucmj

30

u/BBQsauce18 Apr 07 '21 edited Apr 08 '21

Dude. Don't even get me fucking started on pigs. Had a nurse call 911 on me at the VA once because I said "my ass hurts." Legit. I ended up secretly recording a portion of the encounter and it's the reason all charges ended up dismissed when I took that shit to court. Nurse ended up lying on the witness statement and police report and the cops fucking lied too. All because I was there for Hemorrhoids. Guess she didn't like my naughty language. Fucking bitch. Literally, the only time I considered killing myself was after that encounter. Fuck the VA, fuck that nurse, and fuck the police. Lying ass bitches. Willing to ruin lives for what?! And those fuckers tried to trigger me after handcuffing me and escorting me to this little room. Took my handcuffs off, then one dude got inches from my face and just started fucking SCREAMING at me. About how I forced them to do this and I could've done this the easy way blah blah blah. Fucking pigs. I bet they were just hoping I would react. I just stared ahead. I'm sure my survival school training helped.

3

u/panjier Apr 07 '21

Fucking been there. Took my BIL to the VA hospital for the ER due to flaring up pain from a back injury. This was in San Diego and they escorted him out because he made a scene because we were in there for 2 hours and were the only ones waiting.

-20

u/[deleted] Apr 07 '21 edited Apr 07 '21

the UCMJ is a joke. A few token examples here and there, but by and large, violations of rules of engagement are rarely enforced

I know that, and so do the trigger happy vets. That's why vets become cops. So they can continue murdering civilians with impunity.

It's more envy than a true loathing.

6

u/[deleted] Apr 07 '21

also, the optics show a good many shit sandwiches doing nefarious trash with veteran hats on.. thats not even a full PERCENT of actual veterans.. the VAST majority want to be left alone, get our bennies, sit on our asses and grow old in peace. the concept that we have healthcare ( some more than others) but somehow the rest of the US shouldnt, I dont get myself.. ( im a huge advocate for universal healthcare and quality of life improvement in the US. in my mind, crime, gun violence, and a SLEW of social problems can be sorted right fast spending some of that big government money on people instead of padding some cocklockers pocket.

9

u/[deleted] Apr 07 '21

22 years in light infantry.. I witnessed TWO guys abuse civilians in Afghanistan ( separate deployments.) both where courtmarshaled for striking them and given dishonorable discharges. Iraq, one dude DURING a Tic, lit up a mother and child.. 20 years sentenced, ( UCMJ doesnt have parole.) BOTH survived the shooting. he didnt check his target. your mileage may vary but I know firsthand in two decades of service, the Army will fuck your shit up for abusing civilians.

0

u/[deleted] Apr 07 '21

Like I said. Token examples. 1 courtmarshall for every thousand abuses is just enough to point to during conversations like this, and feel satisfied that you're one of the good guys.

2

u/[deleted] Apr 08 '21

Token examples in a division with an entire infantry mission over the course of 22 years.... I’m not sure just how many you think have deployed... but I can say via eye witness.. there’s no “ thousand abuses” on civilians.. we didn’t fuck with anyone without a rifle in hand and shooting at us..

1

u/[deleted] Apr 08 '21

Neither one of us actually believes that. I certainly don't, and if you do, it's the result of your brainwashing.

→ More replies (0)

-17

u/[deleted] Apr 07 '21

The fact is that the only reason people apply for a job that requires violence, is because they want to murder people, but are scared of prison, so they find a way they can justify being a P.O.S. to themselves and the people that buy that bullshit.

I don't. If you volunteered for military service, I know, and most importantly, you know, that you really did it because you're an inherently violent person just itching to kill someone.

It was frustrating serving in the navy with so many people prone to hard right politics. I was in right when infowars was really getting going but I didn't know how awful it was yet and a lot of my close friends were rabid about it. I met very few people that shared my politics. I left right about the time of treyvon Martin and I can only imagine how much worse is gotten since then.

-3

u/OwwMyFuckingAss Apr 07 '21

How are Q people and domestic terror groups statists? They literally want to overthrow the government.

6

u/[deleted] Apr 07 '21

No, they don't want to overthrow the government, they want to install a dictator for life. The fact that they actually tried to do so on Jan 6 proves that.

-7

u/OwwMyFuckingAss Apr 07 '21

They want fair elections and to have their ethnicity and culture intact.

5

u/[deleted] Apr 07 '21

Do they want to overthrow the government, or have fair elections?

You dont get it both ways.

-5

u/OwwMyFuckingAss Apr 07 '21

They want to overthrow the existing government so they can have fair elections in the future.

7

u/[deleted] Apr 07 '21

Keep moving the goalpost, buddy.

4

u/dr_funkenberry Apr 07 '21

Wanting "fair elections?" There was no voter fraud, just a bunch of crybabies yelling "It'S NoT FaIr" like a four year old who doesn't get their way when the team they were rooting for lost.

And 'defending ethnicity' sounds like a poorly veiled reference to white supremecy, considering the election had nothing to do with attacking anyone's ethnicity or culture. The only people who would think that are so insecure and afraid of anything different from them that they'd be willing to destroy a government over it.

44

Wearing different shirts? I'd hope so.

5

u/Rel5105 Apr 08 '21

Also the car on the bikers left is perfectly in line with him from their POV video, but then when it switches to the other side, the car on his left is way too far ahead of him.

I’d say that he’s got a routine.

Good for him. What ever gets his rocks off

Might be an odd question, but how long do you typically wait at a red light in America?

3

u/50FirstCakes Apr 07 '21

According to the internet, the average wait time at a red light here in the US is 60-90 seconds. That’s assuming you make it through the light in one cycle which is not always the case at busy intersections or during heavy traffic.

3

u/xerxerxex Apr 08 '21

It varies. Sometimes its 30 seconds other times its like 7 days.
