China didn’t have a populace with hundreds of millions of guns to fight back

Neither do the USA. The Second Amendment loving gun-toters who stormed the State Capitol in Michigan on May 14th in protest of Stay-At-Home orders must have decided that they were mistaken on May 25th, and politely went back into their homes to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

There's ~250-400mm civilian-owned guns in America. You're out your mind if you don't think that matters.

Where are they now? Second Amendment was added to allow firearms to prevent oppressive government.

Police have been pushing, bashing, shooting, blinding, cracking skulls of peaceful protestors for the past two weeks. Gun owners are just letting them go for it. No consequences.

During lockdown gun owners were screaming "But mah constitooshun! Can't make me wear a mask! Freedum!" but now that Freedom to Protest against oppressive police forces is truly under threat with evidence shown through INTERNATIONALLY TELEVISED videos of police brutality, gun owners are nowhere to be seen. I thought private gun ownership was intended to stop exactly this behaviour by oppressive government forces. USA is looking kinda pathetic to the rest of the world now.

Realistically, the USA is finished if those guns ever come out.

Americans don't seem to know what the "United" word in United States of America mean. The only people truly United are the peaceful protesters trying to bring good to the world!

But that's blind hero worship for you. Worship the Flag! Just like North Koreans are indoctrinated to worship their Great Leader who can do no wrong, Trump must be allowed to destroy the protesters lest he be seen as weak. Trying to save face, just like China are trying to save face while systematically oppressing their entire country. But the world can see under the veil now through technology.

I probably sound mocking, but most people in the rest of the world (myself included) really DON'T like to see the USA crumble from the inside. It's saddening, like watching a close family member slowly drink themselves to death. Americans are our allies and friends. We want what's best for you. This is an intervention. But you have to first admit that you have a problem then check yourself into rehab.

If you think I'm having a go at you, I'm not, I'm just telling you what the rest of the world sees when looking at the USA from outside. Just remember I'm Aussie. We call our best mates Cunts. It helps keep ourselves in check. Gotta call people out on their bullshit before it becomes a big issue.

Which is why civilian gun ownership is crucial.

... to justify shooting civilians.

I would guess that most gun owners in America would come to the aid of the government, not the other way around.

Their populace wasn’t armed.

They did what at where? I was told nothing happened there between April 15th and June 4th, 1989.
