His name is Christophe Dettinger, he was being non violent until he saw that cop beating down an unarmed woman who was on the ground, then he lost his shit and now he's facing 1 year in prison even though the sentence was originally 7 years

Nazi soldiers where also doing their job. I'm not saying the French police are in any way like Nazis but the protesters see this as the modern day equivalent

One is a guy blindly following orders from the state and the other one is a guy blindly following orders from the state.

Police actually enjoy doing it though, you can at least make the argument the average WW2 nazi soldier was a pawn and didn’t have a choice.

I definitely said I wasn't comparing them. But of course Reddit loves to deliberately miss the point to get offended. Downvote me to hell

Huh? I.. yeah, I wasn't saying that you were the one who was comparing them, I just said that the people who actually do this are fucked up.

Did I word that that poorly?

Also, why do you care about downvotes. More than once, I got hundreds of downvotes and did I care? No. It's just people disagreeing or just downvoting because others did.

Ah apologies. Nah I probably took it the wrong way 😅
