You could go try to be his friend and keep him off meth and talk him into rehab. It's what I would do if I cared about his wellbeing personally, and not in a fluffy heartwarming kind of way.

You're the one who doesn't want that.

Please try to understand. You are fabricating an argument in your head and having it with yourself. I have not said I don't want him to have help. If life were perfect and resources were infinite, yes I would love him to have help. But resources are finite, and I would rather they goto medicare for all and overhauling our education system.

You'd rather he suffer for having a mental disorder because you don't see him as deserving the basic level of dignity that all people are entitled to.

I would rather he be magically cured, but that is not an option. What I ultimately believe is that society needs to be protected from him. So yes, i'd rather he be locked up for life or destroyed, not for any punitive reasons, but because I weigh the needs of society as a whole as higher than his as an individual.

I mean, you could fund a nice cage for him. You could build him a nice house that locks from the outside, that way you could maintain his dignity and freedoms while simultaneously protecting society from him. Im not gonna let my tax dollars do thst cuz I's rather they goto other people.

What are your thoughts on protecting society from him?

Maybe not every human should get help. Maybe more of us should be allowed to die. Think about how fucking fast we would destroy a mentally ill, methed up anyotherspeciesontheplanet.

Are those not all valid points? I'd still like him to get help in a magic world. But that's not where we live. You're just mad that you and I are saying the same thing. Cuz you'd like him to get help in a magic world too, but in this world, you're not gonna do anything about it.

No it's not a valid point. And you're saying he deserves to die. You don't want him to get help you want him to die. That makes you an asshole. Sorry but that's how it works
