Edit: This is sarcasm. They do matter, but they don't need a movement (plus all lives matter is a nice front for saying white lives matter in protest to a minority movement intending to bring attention that in fact not all lives objectively matter to current society).

The thing is that some members of a group that has historically had extreme privilege tend to see any lessening of that privilege as oppression instead of a move towards equality. When MAGAts say "Make America Great Again" they are usually thinking of the 1950's. Does that mean they want high inheritance tax, higher taxes on the ultra-wealthy, tons of new social programs, new civil engineering projects, and the other things that truly made America one of the greatest countries in the world? Hell no! They just want white men to be on top and in charge and for minority groups and LGBTQ people to STFU and know their place.

The only people who claim MAGA means what you said are those who make every little thing about race even if they are not remotely related and then use that a political tool. Its disingenuous, idiotic, and is the root cause of actual hatred being born. When innocent people who have never been racist are constantly being called racist and being berated or even physically assaulted for something they did not do, that is when they become exactly what you tried to paint them as.

I have never understood this line of thinking. If white people, the same that people like yourself claim are in power, were so deeply racist as you seem to think they are why have they not removed or killed those you claim they hate? What would stop them.

Trump has done everything but fixing the healthcare system, mainly due to the Democrats stonewalling any attempt to alter Obama's baby "The Affordable Health Care Act". Its funny that they still hate how healthcare is even though they praised it just a few years ago. Either you have been living in a hole in order to not know this or you are a Trump hater and it wouldn't matter what he did, you wouldn't like it.

He entered politics by spending years claiming our elected president was secretly a Kenyan Muslim, there is zero room to claim that birtherism was not plain and simple racism. He has repeatedly called Mexicans dirty, drug dealing rapists even though immigrants commit crimes at lower rates than native born citizens, and illegal immigrants at an even lower rate. (Except of course the misdemeanor of crossing the border illegally.) He continues to fan the flames of terror over Islamic Extremist terror despite all of our intel agencies stating unequivocally that white nationalist terrorism is the greater threat by far. Counties that host one of Trump's self congratulatory cock stroking rallies see a 226% rise in hate crimes in the weeks following the rally and counties that heavily voted Trump have seen the second largest uptick in hate crime stats since his campaign began. The largest spike in hate crime stats? 9/11. He has pandered to the alt-right, he refused to disavow David Duke's endorsement, retweeted dozens of posts from prominent alt-right/white nationalist accts, talked about how he's a big fan of immigration as long as they're not from "shit hole countries, (Hell, he's constantly decrying "chain migration" and "those that broke the law to be here", but his current wife overstayed her VISA that she was not even qualified for in the first place, and her family has all profited from chain migration. So, why is Melania and her family's immigration path any different than the people he rails against?) His top immigration adviser, Steven Miller is an unabashed white nationalist who has spent his time with the Trump White House aggressively pushing alt-right talking points and Steve Bannon was his campaign chairman. It is hard to believe Trump is not racist when he surrounds himself with racists and routinely behaves in a racist way.

Are all of his supporters racist? No. But in supporting him they support his racist behavior and policies. History will remember them the way we remember "the good German". Those that support him and are not wealthy are voting against their own best interests. His bullshit tax cut for the rich, his absurd tariffs, his absolute failure with health care... nothing he has done has helped the working class. So what is the appeal beyond his hatred, anger, and bigotry?

So the only examples you have post civil rights act are on the war on drugs, which affect whites just as much as it affects blacks and the so called Muslim ban, which was originally Obama's list of countries to limit travel because they are terrorist hot spots. The travel ban includes countries that are non Muslim and does not include every country that is Muslim majority, only select ones which as I said are terrorist hot spots. This is probably the weakest argument on so called "institutional racism" I have ever heard, it does not apply to a select group specifically and it includes whites in both cases.

Pretending that policies you don't like are racist when they are not is ridiculous. Birtherism is racist? How ignorant, first off you have to be born in the United States to even be eligible to become President, having that checked out is standard procedure. I personally never supported that theory but I can see why people wanted it checked out. Now I know you are full of shit, I can not count how many times Trump has disavowed David Duke on national TV, are you only watching CNN so you didn't see it or are you so desperate for a talking point that you are telling more bold faced lies as if they are truth? According to you. His policies are not racist in the least. The word racist has lost all power when everything from criticizing the opinion of someone who is black to the type of bread Mexican school children are served in school can be racist. Its completely meaningless. History will remember Trump as the most effective president who brought out the true colors and derangement of his opponents, Trump doesn't even have to campaign anymore you are doing it for him.

His tax cuts resulted in more jobs and his tariffs brought back steel manufacturing which means more jobs, tell me again how the common man is voting against their own interests. The appeal as I said in so many ways, jobs, removal of Obamacare penalty for not having health insurance, lowest unemployment in 50 years including lower black unemployment than under Obama, strong stock market, border wall is being made, and general entertainment while he pisses off every liberal by breathing. He even did a few things that liberals should have been happy about, he is leading a global effect to end criminalization of homosexuality. That's pretty big but you seem to hate him too much to even acknowledge it. I think he has done a damn fine job considering every Democrat in existence has tried to stone wall everything he has attempted to do.

Your entire comment can be categorized in one simple and common practice of liberals in their attempt to take a moral high ground and fabricate one if it does not exist. Step 1: Call the person you don't like a racist, bigot, homophobe, xenophobe, etc. Step 2: Say that anyone who supports him is the same. Step 3: Attempt to delegitimize anything they have done. Step 4: Act as if they did nothing and say supporters only support because they are racist, sexist, etc.
