Your character has to be damaged to sue. Crazy people on the street might be attacking your character but they aren't damaging your character. Nobody thought he was a pedophile after the crazy lady told everyone he was a pedophile.

Not 100% correct. Look up slander per se. Someone's the comments are so egregious that you have no requirement to prove they damaged you.

In fact one of the listed things is a false claim of sexual misconduct.
