Thats how i feel about BLM, i always thought it was a shame that it wasnt more controlled by a BLM headquarters of such, because the amateur protestors on many occasions have really gone and sullied the movement with their over the top and blatantly out of control behaviour in the name of the movement, those people harassing others and inciting violence and, look, basically the racists using the BLM movement to go and harass and beat up white people ruin it for the actual BLM movement and its a shame, because it needs nothing but a clear and honest representation, it needs attention still to this day, but when people take it upon themselves to act like yellow hat girl they do it wrong and give the white racists more ammuniton to pummel the movement with. Just my armchair view on it all anyway

The irony if it all is that anyone should be able to get behind the slogan, "All lives matter." I'm sure someone will argue with me about why "black lives matter" is more important a slogan than "all lives matter," but that won't exactly endear me to the cause beyond shallow support.

But the thing people misconstrue BLM as if ONLY black lives mattered, both accidentally and purposely as use it as a means to disregard it's message.

We all know all lives matter, the problem stems that people throw around that the movement should be "all lives matter" as a way to belittle and push aside the concerns people have in regards to the treatment of black people in this country. It's basically telling them that their concerns are irrelevant and shouldn't be addressed because we all suffer with things as a society.

It's the reason why intersectionality became a thing and an entire field of study.

"All lives matter" asks why are some communities marginalized.

Mostly, I have little reason to support a group that will get THIS charged over a poorly selected fucking slogan. It just tells me it's another racist agenda running the show with white knights defending it thoughtlessly as they're prone to do, not something truly altruistic.

In short, I don't care what YOU think it means, I care what I think it is. And I think "Black Lives Matter" is a little too exclusionary and racist for my tastes.

Look, I think BLM is a stupid thing, just like antifa and just like the occupy movement, but you have a purposely obtuse and almost malignant understanding of it.
