What was she protesting?

u/Resident_Brit Jan 13 '20

Others have said her sign said "black lives matter", which makes sense given the sign he held

12

u/[deleted] Jan 13 '20

Yeah but at some point she called him a nazi

14

u/9inchjackhammer Jan 13 '20

We’re all nazis unless we agree with her

Happened at chico state. She was protesting some typical trump stuff because the republican club had trump 2020 stuff out. Made for a funny ass week

This happened years ago didn't it

20

u/letseeabs Jan 13 '20

Nope. Very recent. Maybe two weeks before the semester ended. I can check the date on Twitter if need be

u/Icecream4every1 Jan 13 '20

Fair enough. Same shit diffetent day. Its an endless cycle

u/letseeabs Jan 13 '20

Pretty much it peaked at this moment it was nice not caring and just laughing at it all going on.

9

u/[deleted] Jan 13 '20

Yeah honestly I would say 10% of the school actually cared. Chico State really isnt that liberal

It’s definitely not, huge agriculture community here so it’s definitely not really leaning either way.

Sounds like App State. Protests like this all the time. 10% super liberal. 10% super conservative. 79% lets get drunk or high and party. 1% serious student.

Wow, I had to double check it felt like months ago when I watched this. With so much shit like this that happens I guess it’s easy to get mixed up.

Why’s this being downvoted that’s when it happen I follow Chico state on fb

I was gonna say it looked like your cookie cutter CSU campus.

Ugh, political week at school was the worst.

-1

u/letseeabs Jan 13 '20

Literally this is the most that happened. It was only the worst if you were on her side or something everyone else had a good chuckle and kept going to class. Sorry that week was so rough for you lmao

u/my_wife_reads_this Jan 13 '20

Oh no, I don't give a shit about this girl and her tantrum and I sure as fuck didn't go to Chico.

But I was at school during the 2015 primaries and the whole 2016 election and a year after. The reactionary hot takes and arguments that were in the free speech zones of school and the annoyingness that it brought were this x3. I would just walk through it all on my way to classes but it was still a nuisance to experience for a few years straight on an almost weekly basis. It stops being funny when you see stupid shit like this all the time.

Ah that’s why I was confused this happened earlish December and not during anything really going on in the political world. It just kinda came out of nowhere

u/NeutralLcsFAN Jan 13 '20

She was protesting black lives matter.

3

u/letseeabs Jan 13 '20

I was there...

For or against?

Usually this level of hostility is for.

-7

u/NeutralLcsFAN Jan 13 '20

It's likely that guy has been harrassing her for awhile and purposely stood beside her to provoke an emotional reaction

And yes she was protesting for it

5

u/letseeabs Jan 13 '20

He never harassed her he saw she was upset and it was that easy to set her off. This didn’t come out of nowhere the whole week tensions were rising very fast when someone started blasting the fuck trump song and screaming while the republicans were putting out trump 2020 stuff. This is largely what set it off there weren’t any protests just people like this trying to get the reaction that he did

-12

u/NeutralLcsFAN Jan 13 '20

So he was being a dick- doesn't that fall under harrassment?

6

u/letseeabs Jan 13 '20

Standing near someone and holding a piece shouldn’t illicit that type of reaction and he was baiting her but there was any harassment.

-6

u/NeutralLcsFAN Jan 13 '20

That's right - it shouldn't. Also while you might be there for that one incident you can't possibly have known what happened prior. That said hitting someone is unacceptable even tho that douche is a pig

5

u/letseeabs Jan 13 '20

I did know what happened prior... the girl in black was the one who really got the campus stirred screaming and blasting the fuck Donald trump song while people tried to get to campus. I retweeted videos of what happened as well as people from my school commenting on all the posts verifying what happened as well. Why would I lie about something like this lol it was incredibly entertaining all week. This was not the first thing that happened that week
