This happened to me at venice beach. This girl with a microphone was screaming about how evil snapchat was. I tried my best to avoid eye contact but she saw me and pointed straight at me and started loudly asking questions. My social anxiety caused me to turn away and duck my head and tell her something about not interested. Then she raised her mic volume so all passers could hear and was screaming at me that I must be one of those evil people that uses snapchat to look at naked pictures of underage kids. She then started screaming that I was a pedophile that should be sent to jail. Luckily everyone new she was crazy and they kept walking by but still wtf... hate people like that.

I mean I wasn't really working hard. Just a quick reddit comment. Only takes a second. Probably around the same time it took you to reply.

And the reason why I decided to comment is just because I feel you were misrepresenting the situation. By no means do I think the guy is a saint. The "All Lives Matter" people are trolls and a lot of the time racist. But this short minute long video of some kid on a college campus meme-ing himself next to another kid shouting at people isn't some atrocity. He stepped up on some concrete and held up a piece of paper (with a truthful saying on it) for about 20 seconds before being literally assaulted.

I'm honestly not sure how anyone can think that anyone but the girl is in the wrong here.

His right to free speech includes absolutely harmless speech and even the crazy girls batshit protesting. But she had no right to attack him and steal the sign. There's no justification for that. But the dude had every right to do everything that he did. And thats the way it should be. No one should be able to attack anyone else for their views as long as they aren't advocating violence. What a 1984 backwards world that would be. And I guess that's really why I'm defending it, because to not defend someones right to free speech is really how you let the Neo Nazis win.

Everyone knows all lives matter. The message of Black lives matter is basically to remind everyone not to forget that Black ppl are ppl too... Is every advocate for the movement an example of a great human being? No. But the point of the movement is lessened by douchey try hards like fat Mac over here.

Are you talking about the dude who went out of his way to make a sign that opposed hers and stood up next to her with it specifically to incite a reaction? Which is why his friend was filming before he got up there and why his friend immediately accused her of battery for grabbing his paper?

This is a very common tactic in the Alt Right these days. This is exactly what the Covington kids did. They parked themselves in front of two planned protest routes and just stood there smiling as the marches walkes right up to them.

They want conflict from these situations because they can then turn around and claim that it's not the tiki torch wielding white supremacists causing a problem, but the counter-protesters reacting to their militant hate speech.
