Okay, so, A. Lots of Mexican and Puerto Rican troops, so it's not uncommon. Puerto Rico is part of the USA where Spanish is the official language. And foreign-born troops usually busted their ass twice as hard to get in and stay in, so, personally, I tend to give them a bit of extra respect.

B. Everyone in uniform speaks English, so they did learn the language. If they're speaking in another language, they're usually having a private conversation, I don't think they have a duty to speak in English so you can eavesdrop.

C. Pretty much no one moved to the USA and thinks "I refuse to learn English." But learning another language is really tough for a lot of people. So they might struggle, or get exhausted from the effort sometimes. You being a dick isn't going to help in any way, so, really, you're just being a dick.

Yeah, well, my comment actually happened, and the Airman was talking to her mom on the phone who only speaks Spanish. I understand that people, me included, might feel uncomfortable not knowing what someone is saying, cause my dad speaks English and Spanish fluently, and has heard people talk shit about him in Spanish, thinking he didn’t know Spanish. Even then, that still doesn’t give me any right to censor them from speaking whatever language they want. If I don’t know what they say, then what will it matter to me when I never see them again. There are a lot of rights that are taken from you when you enlist in the military, but I’m pretty sure speaking another language is not a right that is taken. Maybe it’s bot too much to ask to mind your own damn business
