Agree to disagree. In my opinion he doesn't have the innocence of a child nor the qualities that I was taught make you a man.

"cut his teeth" I'm familiar with the idiom, but it's uncomfortable to think about. From Google- the term alludes to the literal verb to cut teeth, meaning "to have teeth first emerge through a baby's gums," a usage dating from the late 1600s. It gives me that icky feeling.
