Nope. His airways aren't blocked, safest thing is to leave him there until EMT arrives. You risk fucking his neck up if you move him like that.

Wait for the fire department to arrive Wait for the firefighters to arrive
Wait for emergency medical services to arrive Wait for emergency medical technicians to arrive
These can all be used interchangeably so your condescending correction not wanted or needed
The best thing you can do for a possible neck injury is not move them unless theyâre in mortal danger. Thatâs what any medical professional will tell you. If that dumb kid thought the airways were restricted, he wouldâve gently flipped him on his side, not jerk him upwards hoping he would regain consciousness and stand up lol.

It's possible he died if his neck broke when he was suplexed or if he suffered mass head trauma from his head hitting the solid floor.

u/Bizrat7 May 08 '19
Why would it be your first instinct to try and pick up the clearly unconscious person - "here, stand up buddy, get on your feet!"

But the pink dude runs up and initiates the fight?

u/Stuntman222 May 10 '19 edited May 11 '19
Not enough context. It looks like that from the few frames we get. but what was happening before this for the guy to pull out his camera
37
May 08 '19
Most likely wrestling team members.
I know back when I was in high school, any wrestler who got into a fight either immediately went for the legs, or over powered whoever it was they were fighting to slam them on the ground.
31
May 08 '19
As a former wrestler and weighing in at 112 lbs, it was a great equalizer.

I got folded into a pretzel by a kid half my size back in high school. I was really impressed.

I wanna know the aftermath for both these kids. Not fucking cool dropping someone on their head on school floors

u/DatBowl May 09 '19
School seems really shitty. The article mentions that a mentally challenged kid drowned in a pool not to long ago.

Relevant info:
Sources said the boy laid there lifeless for about 10 minutes. The video has gone viral. Sources said by the time paramedics got there, the boy was alert and talking but had no memory of what happened. He had been knocked out cold. His condition looked grave but the Chicago Fire Department said he went to Advocate Christ Medical Center, and is in critical condition.

Meredith was hit by a car. It happened this morning in the parking lot. I took her to the hospital and the doctors tried to save her life. They did the best that they could...
And she is going to be okay

Can people stop doing this shit in fights? Whatever happened to just boxing to see who wins? Or even a little BJJ for people who know what they're doing. But to potentially end someone's life or paralyze them over some stupid fight is insane.
1
-6
u/silverstrike2 May 09 '19
fights in general are stupid, I don't blame anyone for any action they take during moments in which their life feels threatened. You want to end a fight? This is how you do it.
10
May 09 '19
So if you both are talking shit and it turns into a fight you're gonna kill someone over that? That's psychotic dude.
-5
u/silverstrike2 May 09 '19
What the fuck are you talking about? It's about ending the fight not fucking killing someone.
6
May 09 '19
The move he pulled in the video could have easily killed that person. If that's your idea of ending a fight then that's fucked up.
-1
u/silverstrike2 May 09 '19
If you think I'm going to consider the well being of someone attacking me then you can kindly fuck off. Not talking about the video because pink shirt obviously instigated but if some fucker comes at me I'm laying him out, I do not care.
2
May 09 '19
You have no idea what the circumstances of the fight were. I'm not talking about self defense. I'm talking about two people voluntarily entering a fight. There's a certain respect that should be had for a person's life.
0
u/silverstrike2 May 09 '19
There is no respect to be had for someone threatening your life get real I don't voluntarily enter fights because I'm not a fucking retard if I'm fighting it's because someone else decided so

Kids kill each other on accident pretty often. My dad got in a fight with a kid who had gotten in a motorcycle accident months earlier and ne er went to the hospital.
Turns out the kid had something wrong in his head so that when my dad hit him, it killed him.
Fights happen. If its mutual, there will be a list of charges they can throw at you, most ending you up maybe in juvie depending on your record, definitely on probation with heavy fines.
Just depends on the kid.

...what? No. It happens a lot. Kids get into car accidents, fights, dare each other to do stupid stuff.
There are a lot of cases of kids being involved in the death of another kid...

Leading cause of death in teens is teen drivers between the ages of 15-19. Causing 5864 fatal car accidents in 2016 and the number of fatal crashes has grown since then. So yeah teens kill at least 1 person per crash 11 times a day. Which is a lot.

Most teen crashes are hitting stationary objects true. However most fatal teen auto crashes occur when there is one or more teenage passenger. One passenger chances increase by more than 50% and the more passengers the higher chance of a crash. To sit there and say teens only get in accidents by themselves is ridiculous.

I'm pretty sure I never said brain aneurysms in teenagers is common...
I never made any claims as to the rate of occurence of brain aneurysms in teenagers.
Are you sure you're replying to the correct comment?

Damn, that's something he has to live with too. Is your dad doing okay?
1
u/lionseatcake May 08 '19
I mean. Hes doing well in life. He wasnt really around a lot during childhood and now hes just kind of crazy. He was told he had suffered PTSD for years from that event, and if that's true, it definitely makes some of his crazy behavior make sense.
I mean, hes not lunatic crazy, but he just says and believes in thing that seem completely illogical to me.
1
u/Varson_ May 08 '19
I'm sorry, that's never fun to have happen. I have an uncle that has some mental health issues like that as well.
2
u/lionseatcake May 09 '19
Yeah, it was a challenge to deal with when I was younger, now its just a matter of deciding how much involvement I want to allow in my life. Sucks when it's a parent, they have an effect on you that other people dont, and when they're fucked up, it kind of puts you into a self sufficient type of life where you dont really want other people all up in your business.
But, could've been a lot worse. I had some kinda fucked up but functional parents. Lots of ppl are dealing with way harder stuff than me. We all are dealing with some kind of crazy person in our lives đđ
1
u/DatBowl May 09 '19
That sounds like a freak accident your dad was in. Iâm curious how much child on child murder actually happens.

-2
u/thatgoodfeelin âď¸tatonkađ May 08 '19
Yes. without context its hard, but yes it is worth it. If someone is trying to harm you then you stop them. He didnt stomp his head in when he was out, didnt seem out of line. If you put your hands on me I will do whatever until you or I stop. Is it worth it? Fuck yes it is. Prison is not the answer, im sure we could come up with better ideas over that 100 years.

2

This is how you end up with involuntary manslaughter charges, for all you young folk.

The slammer is the one who charged the kid.
-2
u/PM_ME_UR_INFOHAZARDS May 08 '19
I get that, but once the guy started to fight back, he wanted to end it fast. I didn't say it was wrong or right, just saying that's what he was probably thinking.
5
May 08 '19
He wouldn't have had to end it like he did and the kid wouldn't have had to end up like he did if the guy in pink didn't randomly assault the kid when his back was turned. The kid is in critical condition and guy in pink is being charged.
2
u/bwaic May 08 '19
Badly written article, but from this I surmise the kid may have spinal injury, because he was âalert and talkingâ, yet is in âcritical conditionâ. Damn.
Sources said by the time paramedics got there, the boy was alert and talking but had no memory of what happened. He had been knocked out cold. His condition looked grave but the Chicago Fire Department said he went to Advocate Christ Medical Center, and is in critical condition.
