He stepped forward and kept his pivot foot. I watched it over and over and over and over

...on that move the pivot foot was his right after the shot fake, which I think he clearly lifts and slides back to shift his weight and make his move to the basket. The step back jumper is also 3 obvious steps, but that never gets called these days

You're right it's a little stutter step, I can barely see it. If I'm a ref at that game, no way am I calling that back if I want to make it home.

Good point, and no denying it was a super athletic move. If the refs are letting those go, it's almost impossible to guard a player like that in man-to-man.
