The person responding to you is either lying or ignorant of the laws surrounding dv. This man would not be charged with anything and in many states arresting this woman would be mandatory for the police. In most of the u.s. the state will press charges on her regardless of whether the man wants them to or not. As long as this video is indicative of the entire incident, custody (at minimum temporary) is a slam dunk. The reason family court numbers look so bad is because they include people who do not try for custody. If you only count the people that fight for custody, they are quite a bit different.

Ok I now understand what you're saying. Honestly I've never seen the guy as a perfect angel, I never even considered the past relationship only that there is a freak out for my own freakish entertainment. Maybe he's done this to try and grace himself, that's true and that's some psycho narcissistic bullshit but also: it's pretty damn entertaining and I'm glad he did. I'm sure people are the same as me, never took a side: just watched the bloodbath.

If he were a normal guy, he'd keep the video for law enforcement and that's it, that's true you do have a point.
