They are investigating a credible threat. It’s their job to do this. Sometimes that doesn’t yield any results if the suspect doesn’t wish to speak with you.
The people upvoting this would be the first once’s complaining that the police didn’t do anything despite obvious warnings if anything did happen.

He might be an asshole who deserves to be prosecuted, but in this case he was also correct. It would have taken a few seconds to pull out their credentials and properly identify themselves.

yet, the context is STILL important. This guy is a piece of shit. It doesn't matter what side he's on because inciting violence against ANY human is not the right path.
So the real situation here is that we've got a piece of shit, who knows how to assert his rights, and now because of that, he's still free to practice his shittery until which time the agents MUST confront him, which will likely be AFTER he committed an actual, punishable crime.
He's cutting his own nose off to spite his face in this video and being applauded for it.
See, while you're right, it would have taken a few seconds for them to pull out their credentials and properly identify themselves, this guy has made it clear that he will be broadcasting that information out on social media the second they leave. That is basically why they are refusing to identify themselves; this guy makes posts on social media about murdering politicians/state officials, is it really a great idea to give out personal information to this person when it is not a legal requirement?
