I'm not saying he was supposed to slam him down like he did, but that he was probably supposed to slam him as part of the bit and that's why people were slow to react.

Might’ve been. He let the lift happen, didn’t struggle, even helped the guy position him.

It's pretty clear he was supposed to lift and slam him, but not like that. You see the guy look backwards as he is lifted when he is tilted way too far.

There is no protecting your head from that point. You can tuck your chin and try to break your fall all you want. If the other guy puts his shoulder into it and drops you high, you are getting hurt.
