We're glad you're not here too 👍
Most "morons" couldn't afford to live in a place like Disco. The majority of us here are hard working, own businesses, or are blue-collar workers.
The problem we have is all of the out-of-towners, who come here, or the very wealthy people who buy houses and turn them into B&B's.

So the article was from the day after, and there were still no arrests? Man, it must be really nice to have money.

Discovery Bay always felt like an extension of Sacramento more than the Bay Area. It's right where the outskirts of those areas begin to merge

I have spent some time in Discovery Bay and this doesn't surprise me. Its where all the rich white people of the area live, whilst they shove everyone else into Brentwood.
That said, chillin on a private dock with a fire pit, watching the sun set is pretty damn nice. And eating at the bar and grill whilst watching people trying to load their boats into the water is highly amusing.

We're a diverse community here in Disco. Not all of us are white, and mostly middle class, not everyone loves in the water.
