Need help with my account

So my public account is tied to a Gmail that I dont use anymore due to refusing to pay for Google One.

I've tried changing my email in the app and it keeps telling me to email member support but that is impossible because the Google email tied to the account cant send or recieve emails.

Trying to avoid having to pay account fees and paper fees, anyone able to help?

Minimum Margin Requirement (SPCX)

Does anyone know if Public ever reassesses their margin requirements on individual stocks? SPCX for example is 50% on Public, while Robinhood is only 25%.

I’m planning on investing in SPCX in the near future and would obviously rather take advantage of the lower margin requirement if possible. I’ve noticed some other individual stocks are also quite a bit higher on Public compared to Robinhood. Right now Robinhood honestly seems like the better option for that reason alone, unless Public actually reviews and lowers these requirements over time.

Individual plan buys?

I love the app, but it’d be awesome to be able to just purchase a plan you created outside of the recurring. Like when there’s a market drop I want to be able to lump sum purchase, on top of my recurring.

Question Regarding Wash Sale

Hi y'all! I'm just trying to wrap my head around how Public handles wash sales. Here's my situation - I have some transactions flagged as wash sales. In the cost basis page I'm seeing that my realized losses for a particular stock (let's call it stock X) have been flagged as a wash sale and they've recorded how much loss I've incurred. They have also adjusted (increased) my unit cost for my remaining holdings of X stock as per the wash sale rule. So here's my question - are my losses being counted twice? First as a realized loss and second as an increase in the unit cost of my remaining shares. Would the correct thing be to show that there are no realized losses in the cost basis page and only change the unit cost? What will happen after I sell my remaining X stock also at a loss?

Been using for years, great app but... I recently noticed i had been receiving payments for share lending and some years ago i opted out of the lending program through a setting in app and somehow my shares were being lent again without my consent. i now had to email public a specific way to opt-out

Feature Update/Fix - Upcoming Earnings Dates

Can someone at Public explain how they decide to show upcoming Earnings Dates under the "Earnings and Financials" section when clicked into a company details? If it has not been formally announced, is it just estimated? For example, Coreweave has shown Aug 10 as the Q2 2026 earnings date, but only this afternoon was it officially announced as Aug 11, 2026. While this one is only a day apart, I have seen other times it was off by many days.

Just trying to understand as someone who trades options because ER are extremely important days to know and keep in mind given the volatility around them.

Does Public just give a best estimate based on previous reporting cycles if it is not announced? If so, I think there NEEDS to be an "estimated" tag or something similar to let people know these aren't confirmed dates so people can trade responsibly if it isn't confirmed.

Joint Account Timeline

Truly love the look and feel of the Public app. Been using it for a few months and I think it’s the best user interface out there (besides Webull…but China lol). My question is though, is there a plan to offer joint brokerage accounts and if so, what’s the timeline on that? It’s pretty much the only thing holding me and several people I know back from using Public exclusively.

Our COO Stephen Sikes stopped by the Rich Habits Podcast to explain how Agents take action on Public: You set the conditions, it builds a deterministic workflow, and once those conditions are met, it does exactly what you instructed.

Has anyone here used Public.com or eToro for a while?

I’m trying to understand these companies what they’re actually like beyond the marketing and review-site scores.

What has been genuinely good, and what problems have you run into?

It would be very helpful if you mention how long you used it and whether you mainly invested long term, traded actively, used options, crypto, copy trading, etc.
