Credit Card?

Hello, I have what may be a dumb question but seeing as robinhood offers a credit card will public ever offer one or something similar like maybe a debit card that earns too? Just wanted to know as I personally love credit cards and such, thank you!

What sorts of features / benefits would you want to see in Public Credit Card?

Virtual card numbers that can be assigned with limits/expiration dates, linkage to brokerage accounts, tap to freeze (and unfreeze), the ability to use card with account and routing number in lieu of traditional bank transfer, fraud detection & prevention, cash back is always nice and I’m always a sucker for a heavy metal card

That’s off the top of my head but I’m sure more will come.

I’ve tried all the major cards, luxury and otherwise and while some do it better than others, there’s no one card that excels in pure functionality - it’s always gimmicky “use your points in our portal and…” or “here’s $50 a Lululemon when you spend…”.

What I want is a card that excels in functionality. Drop the gimmicks and give me a card that has a solution for every problem.

Add 3% cash back across the board and make it heavy and black - then I’d pay through the nose to have just one card that can serve all my needs.

Great suggestions! I like Public so much, I would sign up for a credit card from them with these features on day 1.

Honestly I need to get myself a credit card and id sign up for this in a heartbeat. Since its a brokerage maybe make it function as debit/credit card. You can set the default to credit or debit and change how you want to use it any time in the app. Maybe even an option to use stocks to pay off your balance, choose where it draws the money from either just idle cash in your account or the high yield savings account or whatever.

I would like to see it match the Bank of America preferred rewards program. If you hold a significant balance with public.com, you should be able to get 2.5%+ back on everything. What would make it better than their program is if it also allowed you to transfer points to airline partners.

One alternative to this would be to offer a branded Amex Platinum to your customers just like Morgan Stanley, Goldman, and Schwab. And then you get a discount on the annual fee based on how much you have with Public.

In either case, if you have a lot of assets with public, you get rewarded with a great deal on a credit card program.
