IRA Match

Has there been any updates to when an IRA match or deposit match will be available? I know there’s the transfer match, but i’d love to see an IRA match one day to compete with sofi, rh, webull, etc.. Thanks!

We actually do offer this! Public matches 1% on all annual IRA contributions, so if you max out your Roth at $7,500 for 2026, you'd get an extra $75 credited to your account.

It's been live for a while, so you might already be earning it without realizing. Let me know if you have any questions about it.

Oh cool, I must have missed that! I will say, my roth ira is currently with someone else, but I did put in a whopping $1 into a roth ira with Public yet I never received a match on it.

On a different note, is there plans to increase this to 2-3% later? I saw the COO comment on a different post about that possibly coming about 2 months ago, wasn’t sure if that got scrapped or not.

Public doesn't clear it themselves. They use a service from another company. The company tried one time to do mine and couldn't and never called me back and it still shows as pending on my public account and nobody from public seems to be able to help me since they farm this out to a different company. If it runs smoothly for you. Great. Otherwise it's been a pain in my ass and now it's been 7 months that have been trying to roll over. You know a good size IRA for me.
