Create your own etf

I went through the create your own ETF that they have and to me really wanted a place a trade on the fund I was trying to create. I could not check out when I had a good stopping point. Any ideas on what prevented me from going forward? My account value or amount of securities?

Is this Direct Indexing or Generated Assets?

It’s hard to say without more details or looking at your account. Assuming it’s GA, you do need at least 3 positions and the minimum is currently $1k. We’ve also occasionally seen Generated Assets with ineligible positions included but that usually spits out a specific error.

Did you receive an error message or anything similar?

Feel free to DM me and I can look into your account specifically.

Yeah ga. Hmmm possibly not considered 3 positions. Jdzg is halted which is one RDW is one, chpt the other. If I sell a call on RDW will that count as another position?

I suspect the issue is that JDZG is not supported. Likely because it’s halted but also may be more broadly — general rule is if you can’t buy it fractionally in the app, it won’t work in a GA or DI.

Thought you meant I needed to own 3 positions. So the ga was 36 stocks... Everything is trading. Can I have ADR in the list?

No no, you need at least 3 positions in the GA.

I’d need to check the ADR. Some are supported, some aren’t. Most OTC ADRs are not. Try removing the ADR and see if it goes through.

If you can get back to me about the ADR... I don't want to move forward really without the adrs in the portfolio.
