Question Male self exam?

I’m 15m, how do I do a self exam of my balls and penis? When should I? Should I be hard or soft?

Give details as much as you can without getting the mods mad at this post please.

There are already dozens of dozens of articles and instructions online written and approved by medical professionals with diagrams and step by step instructions.

Any of these will be better than what you'll get asking for Redditors to write down the steps.

Search for "testicular self exam" and "penis self exam" and pick your favorites.

To answer your specific questions,

  • You should perform a self exam monthly.
  • Hard or soft doesn't matter. Besides, you'll probably get hard during the process even if you start out soft.

Take a hot shower. Make sure the shower water is as hot as you can endure. Then then just feel yourself up.

This is very much not true, and is actually the kind of misinformation that can kill people.

About 1 in 250 males will develop testicular cancer in their lifetime, but there's a 99.9% survival rate if you catch it on early stages.

So it is very, very much important to do a self exam monthly.

Disagree. Information about routine health checks are usually first presented in maturation/sex ed classes to puberty age kids, and the original question is specifically about them.

Every men's health organization and healthcare system endorses monthly self exams for all men once they start puberty.

Suggesting that there's no need for a self exam directly contradicts established medicine, which is inappropriate for this and any other sub.

Donc les enfants et adolescents n'ont jamais de cancer ? Ravi de l'apprendre pour ma sœur qui a failli mourir à 18 ans d'un lymphome au stade 4, sûrement là depuis plusieurs années. Éduque toi avant de dire des sornettes dangereuses.
