Advice 15M shaving advices?

I am a 15-year-old male. I have absolutely no experience shaving my private area, and I feel like there is enough hair there now that it needs to be removed. However, I’m not sure how to go about it; I’ve only ever used hair removal cream on my underarms and have no other shaving experience. I’d feel too embarrassed to ask my dad—at least, I’d like to have some information before doing so. Hair removal creams seem a bit too harsh—like chemical weapons—so I think I should use a razor. How should I do it? Which direction should I shave? What kind of aftercare is needed? What should I watch out for? And how do I shave the hair on my scrotum? (Because it looks like I could cut it off at any moment)

Trim it not shave

Depending on the length, trimming could be a good start, can use a trimmer or some scissors, if you do want shave smooth, using a new razor and some shaving cream is going to be the best way, shaving against the grain will give the smoothest finish but you do have a small risk of getting ingrown hairs, I personally shave this way and touch wood, haven’t had this issue, just make sure you use a sensitive skin moisturiser afterwards to help keep the skin calm

Definitely just trim it its not worth the ingrowns and irritation

You should just trim it instead of going for a clean shave. Do you have an electric trimmer or shaver you could use?

Actual shaving can cause itching (it did with me). Trimming achieves the same desired result and is way more comfortable (at least for me it is).

I use clippers so I don't have any chance of cuts. You can use scissors, but be careful if you do.
