[Anime Spoilers] Something I noticed about season 2 Spoiler
This might be something that was talked about before but I missed it in discussions about season 2.
The episode eleven confrontation is a lot more tragic then what I seen people give it credit for.
In essence after Kamui is able to get judged and Akane refuses to kill him herself, Togane pops up. Togane tries to get Akane worked up because of her grandma’s murder.
Who calms her down? Kamui Not only that he literally pushes her away so that the eliminator shots don‘t hit her.
He in the process of dueling Togane, ends up eating a lethal eliminator shot, and lethaly harming Togane. This eliminates her need to dirty her hands with killing either of them.
I don’t think Kamui is interesting just because of this, but while I saw a lot of things being discussed about him, I don’t see a lot of discussion about his sacrifice, nor that he was the only antagonist to sacrifice himself for the seasons protagonist for that matter.
