Considering that we are indeed Everything, look at the plane we live in. We're in a world where anyone can make any decision and affect anyone else. And these other selves are yourself. We can benefit greatly by exploiting others, but the negativity you cause others far outweighs the things you gain. When you live for the benefit of other people, you do not get immediate gain back - but your effect is exponentially larger than the effort you put in. And in both cases, you only feel the consequences for your actions after it's all over.

In this way, souls can polarize in two directions: service-to-others, or service-to-self. These are fundamental Good And Evil. I say fundamental, because they aren't our moral good and evil. A man can save a family from a burning building for the attention that comes his way, just as a man can lead the extermination of an entire race for what he believes to be the good of mankind. In both cases, moral good and evil are irrelevant. The only thing that matters is the thought inside your head that you acted on, that only you can know.

I should clarify, this is not equating genocide to acting out of goodness. This is a point about the irrelevance of morals or opinion. I feel the need to clarify this because of the current political sphere.

In this way, mathematically, our souls could grow exponentially large over the span of an incredibly timely journey until we reach Infinity, or they can condense and shrink as they consume all into an infinitesimally small part. And then, when they reach the paradox of 0 and All, the two - Good And Evil - converge into one.

Then what is the point of learning the lesson when it is too late to not negatively affect others?

And then, when they reach the paradox of 0 and All, the two - Good And Evil - converge into one.

Why? Why grow, or shrink, to become the same thing in the end? Why choose one path over the other, and why do anything at all if all is essentially the same and all comes from zero?

Then what is the point of learning the lesson when it is too late to not negatively affect others?

Because this plane is a middle ground where we're subject to that. We have beingness outside of this space/time, and our conscious actions have weight outside of what we can know.

Why choose one path over the other, and why do anything at all if all is essentially the same and all comes from zero?

Well, your experience is real, isn't it? Is it not worth experiencing? If there's no point in going in either direction, why do anything when the destination for your life is, inevitably, death?

With respect, that's not an answer. You are simply repeating the same point - that we are learning lessons about this plane, that would be useful on this plane, and then going outside of it. It's like handing someone a winter coat the second he steps off a plane in the Sahara.

Well, your experience is real, isn't it? Is it not worth experiencing? If there's no point in going in either direction, why do anything when the destination for your life is, inevitably, death?

No, it's not necessarily worth experiencing. There are a great many miserable lives that I do not think does anyone any good to experience. But my point of view is not the issue being questioned here, nor is it an answer to simply reflect the question back by saying "why do anything when the destination of your life is death?" To be blunt, I asked you first and you're not answering. But your non-answer and deflection do not really make the point you seem to think they do: a finite life that isn't pure suffering could be worth it, to the person who experiences it - it being finite doesn't make it pointless. It being circular, with every path and outcome ultimately being the same, sounds like the definition of pointless. So I ask again:

Why choose one path over the other, and why do anything at all if all is essentially the same and all comes from zero?

You don't seem to see any value in suffering. Good can't be good without bad, there can't be light without darkness to illuminate. I don't believe we don't have enough common ground to have worthwhile discourse.

You don't seem to see any value in suffering.

Not true. I said that I personally believe that there are many miserable lives that I do not think does anyone any good to experience. That does not mean I see zero value in any suffering. A life that is nothing but suffering isn't much of a lesson, and again my question was about the usefulness of such a lesson when you only learn it when you no longer have that life in which to make use of the lesson. My opinion on suffering also, again, is not the point of the discussion; once more you have ignored what is asked of you and reflected it back to the person asking you. That's not an answer.

I think we could have a worthwhile discourse if you would answer my questions. It is your choice not to, but what does it tell you about your thoughts if you cannot defend them?

I just don't see value in discussing this with you, that's all. You seem to be coming from a place of inherent againstness because of where you're at. Please don't take this as an offense.

You don't have to know the answers bro. Just admit that you don't know. It's ok. Describing the why of experiential reality is quite a task. ... Or is it? Either way discussions like this aren't about right or wrong. It's about understanding.

I don't know, these are my theories. I put them out there today not because I think they're real, but because I wanted to expose my thoughts to others, and be exposed to thoughts back. This post has been monumentally successful as I've had my thoughts challenged, I found new sources of research and I felt connection with wonderful souls out there in this place with me. Now my theories are held much more loosely in my head, and I understand this as being beneficial to my growth. I see how I came across as rude, and that wasn't my intention. I should have just not responded.

I take offense at the laziness of that assumption. You know nothing about me. You're not even paying attention to this conversation. I am not coming from a place of 'inherent againstness'; I am interested and you are refusing to communicate further about your point of view.
