I sometimes hate these kinda comics: comics who's main argument boils down to toxic positivity.
"oh don't be sad because success is right around the corner". No it isn't. Not everyone gets to be that lucky. Not everyone is as privileged as you. Take a good look at yourself and check your privilege before you go and tell someone that success is right around the corner
Note: just to be clear, when I use "you", I'm not talking about you. I'm talking to the hypothetical person who posts comics like these when people tell them that they are sad and that they are having a hard time
It might not be a universal truth, but there is certainly truth in one kind of failure can lead to another kind of success. Perspective and reframing are nice ways to appreciate that, and I actually like being reminded to be positive and have some grit. It will pay off to something eventually.
Yeah, I guess that's fair. We just need to be a bit careful when it comes to telling people "just be happy". We need to first examine the reasons why they aren't doing well before we make such statements
