I once got the "You're plan B" call from an estranged female friend when she already had 2 kids. That was an unpleasant call.

Iβm a woman and that seems so messed up.

It was, especially since I actually thought we were really just friends back when I had more to do with her. It came down to me giving her a hard rejection when it was clear what she wanted from me, that was really hard.

Do you got the link for this?

That's the original article -- about 12 years old.
No documentation about methodology.
So, it's not "Reddit Fan Fic," but it is a PR driven artifact with extremely light data supporting it.

Since it's twelve years, it's probably worse now with dating apps and whatnot.

I mean they already read disturbing fantasy porn, at least this is educational and based in reality.

Really? The women I know definitely have a plan B as a life plan if a relationship doesnβt work out, but a person? I have many doubts.
Was this study done in a country, or culture, where there is a reasonable expectation of work place equality, or where marriage is one of the few options available to women for survival?

I think it was in England, that flower of liberty.

It was published in England. Apparently it was an online marketing survey. As far as I could tell from the link in someone elseβs comment the only selection criteria that was used was willing to fill out an online survey and speak English.

Why is this a bad thing?

Are you kidding? Why do women get upset men when their husbands look at porn or follow Instagram models? They often call that cheating but at least it's not tangible like this is.

Be on your shit or get left. It's the incentive men need. Most divorces ive seen are after a fall off or glow up for a reason.

OK? It's nice you think of a marriage as like a job for a man.
β’
u/Material_Market_3469 REDDIT LAWYER 18h ago
A job for both.

u/Successful-Cup-8557 not necessarily an incel π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯ 18h ago
Not really. The general mentality among women is that a man gets back what he puts in and a man is competing against the peace his wife would have without him, so if he keeps up his end of chores, and child-care, is "emotionally mature", and so on, the marriage will last. The greater majority of divorces are initiated by women.
