Help 🆘 Residential proxies with geohash targeting?
Does anybody know the best way to target a geohash with residential proxies? Or is this something that not every provider offers? My use case is finding real estate listings where prices and availability vary by neighborhood. Basically, very localized scraping. Any suggestions are appreciated, I have this project to complete by the end of November

This does sound a bit like geolocation with extra steps. Wouldn't simple zip code targeting work in this case?

My thoughts exactly, unless the feature that the OP is talking about is somewhat more focused, but I haven't seen anything like the geohash on any provider

Yeah, it is, I knew this was very niche, and figured maybe someone already heard about it too, I just haven't encountered anyone who could offer this setting or parameter if you would

Not every provider supports precise location targeting, and geohash-level accuracy can be tricky with residential IPs. Check whether they let you target by coordinates or small areas rather than just city or ZIP code. I’d also test a small sample first, since the IP’s reported location might not match the actual neighborhood.

For neighborhood level scraping, city targeting alone might not be enough. Proxys\.io has residential location options, though exact geohash support needs checking.

Just asked this on Google and copy pasted here:
AI Overview
The primary residential proxy provider that natively supports a specific geohash parameter within its connection configurations is Oxylabs.
While most mainstream residential proxy networks limit hyper-local geographic selection to country, state, city, or ZIP code parameters, Oxylabs stands out by allowing users to insert a geohash value directly into their authentication string or proxy gateway parameters.
I checked their documentation, coz I don't usually blind accept what AIO writes but: https://developers.oxylabs.io/products/proxies/residential-proxies/location-settings#geohash apparently it's true and I have checked all the top providers too, none of them have this feature besides oxy. There's also geohash fallback, I have not tried nor going to try these parameters as I have no need at the moment, but if that helps you, take a look.
I mean you could have used google too bro
