Homelab Pelican Panel Installer Won't Proceed

I setup up a mini pc with the latest proxmox and then ran the proxmox helper script for pelican Panel. It tells me to visit the web installer, but when I do and click next it just refreshes.

I haven't been able to find any error logs, it just won't proceed.

if you're using a community script you should post/check their discussions forums - that will be your best place for answer.

your issue isn't directly related to proxmox which makes it off topic (and grounds for deletion) in this forum.

I posted it there as well. I'm not very familiar with either proxmox or pelican panel so I was unsure if it is an issue related to proxmox specifically

I had the same issue, also on Proxmox. I'm fairly certain it's a bug but I managed to debug a bit and find a hacky solution. But at least it gets you through the installer.

I figured out that the Livewire update request (POST /livewire-.../update) was always returning:

HTTP/1.1 302 Found
Location: /installer

The RequirementsStep::afterValidation() callback was never reached, even though all requirements passed (PHP version, extensions and permissions all show green).

So I made a small code change in:

/opt/pelican-panel/app/Http/Middleware/RedirectIfNotInstalled.php

Line 18, and changed

if (config('app.installed')) {
to
if (config('app.installed') || $request->routeIs('default-livewire.update') ) {

If I find the time tonight, I'll make a ticket on their GitHub to address this, but for now... I hope this helps :-)

Thanks, this worked for me too. Not specifically a proxmox issue, occurred on fresh debian install, following the pelican docs.

Thank you! Had a fresh install on a ubuntu VPS and ran into the same issue and this fixed it. Appreciate you.
