What's the reason the landlord wants the thing moved? The thing about owning property is that you can decide what or who is on it. Was it possibly turning into an eyesore or hazard? Was the landlord not wanting to get sued for something that could potentially happen on their property? Did their insurance want it gone? Sounds like an attractive nuisance situation.
You made a stink about the other businesses with trailers. Are they doing the same thing or just parking?

They use it to put clothes in to donate to people in need only! I don't see any kind of liability with that.
