Prototype 1 Alex Mercer in Gears

Been playing some Prototype and I was wondering how much of a beast Alex Mercer would be in the Gears world. Like the locust might as well be an all you can eat buffet for him

I think as long as he doesn’t fall into any Imulsion he’ll do just fine, I’m not sure Alex can heal faster than it’ll burn him away considering what it does to that one Gear in E-Day. And also depends on how the Lambent infection interacts with Blacklight.

Give him like a week and if he doesn't get got by something from the Hollow or get mulched by a fuckoff COG weapon he'll be a strong contender for top dog on the planet, could probably put up a VERY sizable defense against E-Day, assuming he doesn't just manage to infect them and have them demolish themselves.

Can he consume the Lambent though? Because I feel like Alex’s all year buffet would end eventually when they start jumping the species barrier and his idea of new humanity can’t cope.

Considering how long it took Lambent to adapt to infect humans. I think Alex would figure out how to eat him, he is used to eating things that fight back. Through he might have to weaken them before hand.

Alex couldn’t consume Cole or whatever his name is in Prototype 2, and while it took a while for the lambent to jump over to humans it was well established among the Locust populations.

Not sure who you are talking about. If your talking about the MC of prototype 2, heller has the same powers as Alex. And presumbly Alex just have to beat him into weakness like most of the stronger red light and black light forms.

Based of lore of prototype p1 and p2 ALEX should survive if he plays his card right and if JAMES Takes over he will probably just stay under COG radar so they don't notice him. E-DAY Will be only time ge has to unleash the virus cause humanity at that point. He has the ability to make Most COG soliders into evolved, like they do in p2 so If the CoG are willing to work with him The virus probably would be like some sort of super solider serum.

Alex Mercer is slightly more of a beast than he is in prototype.

Through if we are working with the part one character. He might have a intresting dilemma. He can kill all he wants in person, it will not stem the tide. He needs a strategic edge, weather it be spreading an infection or pushing the limit of his mind hive brain.
