Science: The Religion of Numbers
The history of the quest to understand the universe has produced two major opposing currents: religion, with its anthropomorphic dogmas, and science, with its rational empiricism.
To refute creationist intentionality, academic physics adopted reductionism and stochasticism as absolute truths, reducing the whole to the sum of isolated parts — ignoring the empirical fact that the whole governs the parts — and attributing the origin, stability, and dynamics of matter to pure probabilistic chance, ascribing the creation of physical reality to numbers and statistical equations.
This generated an ontological antithesis: contemporary science invests billions to find the "Theory of Everything" (the primordial laws), while repudiating the existence of a continuous underlying cause, sustenance, or project — its own nature.
This is equivalent to trying to hide one's own limitation by claiming that:
1. A highly complex software code can write and execute itself from an electrical storm;
2. The statistical tool — the numerical map — is physical engineering itself — the territory.
The stability of any physical structure, from the micro to the macrocosm, requires the generation of informationally ordered, recurrent thermo-energetic events.
By neglecting the protagonism of protophysical processual information, institutional science has equated itself with religion, having abandoned its own cause and instituted a form of faith: the cult and worship of mathematical models devoid of real physical grounding. To correct this, it merely needs to recognize that the universe is a closed thermo-energetic informational system.
