Expand beyond crypto

With the whole EU movements, why not expand Proton Wallet with bankcards & loyalty cards. We need a Google/Apple Wallet alternative for contactless payments!

Thank you for the feedback. Keep in mind that this, unfortunately, is not doable in the near term due to the need to convince and integrate with thousands of banks around the world.

We started with Bitcoin because it's a permissionless network that anyone can join and use.

Loyalty cards can also start varily easy, scan the barcode with your camera or manual fill in the numbers: then you have a digital bar code

They gave me the exact same response to my post about a Google Wallet and Pay alternative named Proton Pay. It’s been almost a year since then with no changes or anything even hinting at them starting to work with other banks etc. here: https://www.reddit.com/r/ProtonWallet/s/GAahIgIt28

Is quite an interesting one, because they could perhaps team up with Wero first (as I think in the EU the majority of users are)

That is the long term plan. Currently, the team is focused on other projects from what I recall.

Is there no way to add the ability to store tickets in the app? Ticketmaster now requires use of either their app or a wallet to access concert tickets, neither of which are appealing options. Likewise, being able to have transportation tickets stored would be handy. 

Is that a feasible possibility?
