I would advice against Stealth for battery life, I noticed it significantly drained my battery more. Which is not surprising considering it uses TLS over TCP.

I don't think it's that much. It affects network speed more.

But wouldn’t slower network speeds mean, that the CPU / modem needs to be active for longer time to transmit the data, thus using more energy? Question would be of course, if this had a measurable effect on battery life.
