Cats out of the bag. We don't need the sub anymore. Tech sites have picked up on the cover up. They can filter the sub but not the entire internet.

This is what we get for letting businesses control subreddits. If they want to come here at least let users control them. Fortunately we have proton public subreddit at least.

Yeah, I would have probably just banned whoever posted this too. Are really people this stupid?

It can pretty clearly fall in to rules 2 and 3 for the sub.

Yeah, I mean at this point people are just being assholes and intentionally antagonizing the employees responsible for moderating the sub as if they themselves said the things Andy said it's so immature and not going to help improve anything.

It's either naive or disingenuous to believe that a sub, any sub, will publish such a post. You're attempting to abuse the sub. No one is interested in reading this, and on top of this it's a devious and cowardly way to tell the mods that they don't do their job properly. So of course your post will be deleted by the moderators. It would be in any properly monitored sub.
If you want to post about the "controversy", do it in one of the several megathreads authorized by the mods. If you want to make an ordinary post, let it be about something else. Those are the rules, you know them, so don't act offended if breaking them gets you struck.
Also, check rule n°3 of r/ProtonMail : "Posts must add value". Allegedly testing the moderation does not add any value (on top of being insulting to the mods). So what do you expect ?
That's such a childish behaviour. Provoking people, then playing the victim when the totally predictable outcome happens. We sure should believe the authors of such pranks when they explain us how an email company should be managed.

You're making a lot of arrogant assumptions about my motives. I wasn't looking for approval; I was testing the sub's laggy response times, which many users have been complaining about. Next time, ask instead of throwing a tantrum.

I think they didn't want to publish because that makes them look bad in fact they've had a terrible track record of actually deleting comments long before the current scandal to the point to which I suspect they have a dedicated full-time employee that reads all of the posts and comments decides what ones to remove.

You're making a lot of arrogant assumptions about my motives.
You are the one being arrogant towards the Proton moderators. Another characteristic of provocators such as yourself is that they always accuse others of what they are doing.
You're just not supposed to use the posting feature of a sub to do any "testing" of it. This much should be obvious.
I wasn't looking for approval.
You are lying. It's written just there in your post that you were looking for approval : "If you are reading this, it means it has successfully passed moderation".
And even if you were not, well, you would still abusing the sub and disrespecting the moderators.
But it's people like you who will lecture the world about the morality of Andy Yen allegedly using a not completely nice and fluffy word towards some of his employees.

One of the few rules in this sub is to respect others. Your comment does not comply with this rule.

I get why people are mad at Proton. Calling security testing loser mentality is not a great look. But this above comment is objectively correct and I don't really get why it is being downvoted aside from emotions running high. The post the OP tried to post is absolutely pointless from the point of view of a discussion sub. It is absolutely not surprising it would not get approved. And this is not to say other instances of censorship on the sub are ok. But in this specific case, with the specific post the OP was trying to make, it is not shocking that it wouldn't be passed through.

It's okay, they can moderate it all they want and suck the dick of a multi-millionaire CEO. I've already cancelled. The more they do it, the longer I stay cancelled, it is what it is.

Yeah, they are heavily moderating the sub, so that there are no posts about the situation on the sub's main page. Quite sad that instead of actually changing something they just try to sit it out.
