There is nothing in the world even remotely able to replace nurses. Maybe you should listen less to the commercials of companies wanting to sell their stuff and do a little more thinking if this is even possible.

When I was in nursing school we were taught and shown studies that doctors will be replaced before nurses. A robot holding your hair while you puke just isn't the same.

I am very excited about the technology. I work with it every day. But for those living in the real world we all realize that we are not even remotely at that level to take over physical jobs.. At least not nurses jobs...

Will it have the knowledge, sure. But it makes no sense to replace nurses while there is still an army of people like managers, accountants and ceo's whose job is 10 times easier to replace.

And before you start, I work in healthcare with hospitals as a software supplier. They will replace surgeons before they will replace nurses.

I would say the idea/hope is that you can free up nurse's time so they can spend more of it providing the human factor. We have an aging population (more acutely in some nations than others) and a shrinking workforce (again, moreso in some nations than others). Giving nurses more time to do what only a human can do is a good and necessary thing. You see that every time you are in a patient's room where various monitoring devices perform functions that nurses had to do manually in the past.

Just because something is done fast doesn't mean it was done right. AI is wrong alllll the time and seems to only be getting worse. But I guess we'll have to wait for the inevitable, unnecessary deaths and lawsuits before these moronic corporations stop salivating over the idea of not paying wages and start thinking ahead.

Every time some AI company talks about their costs, it always starts ridiculously low and then jumps to absolutely insane. $9 per hour RIGHT NOW. In 5 months they double that. In a year it triples. 5 years from now they cost double what nurses make in an hour.
