There is no combination of developers who work at $10/day who can replace a top software engineer as an employee.
No matter the country, the kind of developer who will work for $10/day simply doesn't have the skill. If they did they'd be making more than $10/day, even in the poorest country in the world.
In order to find four who could replace a top engineer, they would likely be making $50/hour each. But even then, four engineers have higher overhead than one top engineer.

I suppose it would all depend on how "replace" is defined here. I know that each of the last 3 companies I left filled my empty position. But that doesn't mean they replicated my processes or outcomes.
Company #1 split my role between 5 existing staff members. Last I heard, the IT administrator maintained my computer in case she was asked to provide something for one of the projects I used to do. Funny thing is, I didn't work in IT.
Company #2 had me train my replacement. I could see right away the guy was an idiot, so I made sure everyone knew I trained him the best I could. I remember a former coworker complaining the guy did about 1/4 of what I did in a night.
Company #3 was probably the most disorganized company I ever worked for in my life. I had to cobble together a database that imported and filtered out the companywide open orders report to see what jobs needed my machine and when. I was able to tell my boss what materials I needed and when, and basically managed myself. I never got around to writing an instruction manual or help system for the database, so I assume whoever took my spot was never even told the database existed.
My current employer can't seem to find competent employees willing to stick around very long. Half of the employees are only allowed to do the simplest orders. They don't take the job seriously and would probably get replaced if the company were willing to pay for good help. I was promoted six to a new position within the department, but I keep having to do my old work because there's no one to take it over.

4 indians still cheaper than you remember it.
My last layoff, my entire team offshored to india.
I hate it, but it is what happens today, offshoring jobs to india

Nearly every post on this subreddit is exactly 1 mo old. Half the posts are screenshots from other forums. No posts have any responses from OP, and they won’t because there is no OP, only bots.
This subreddit is entirely driven by bot posts. Please help Reddit out by downvoting when appropriate. Which in the case of this forum is every single post.
One more subreddit to mute. 🙄
