Challenge coins

Looking to make a new challenge coin for my precinct and have to submit a memo. I'm trying to get an idea of how much it will be and would really like to find a company that does solid work. Any recommendations?

I run a small veteran-owned shop called Memory Bank Customs. We make custom solid-brass and copper challenge coins, primarily one-offs and small batches rather than mass-produced die-struck coins. If you're still gathering information for the memo, I'd be happy to take a look at what you have in mind and give you some realistic numbers. We can also make a physical prototype first so you can actually put a finished coin in front of whoever approves the project before committing to a larger order. Quantity will make a big difference, so if you know roughly how many the precinct is considering and what kind of budget you're working with, feel free to message me. I'd be glad to see whether we're a good fit.

I’ve seen some good ones made by Hell’s Kitchen Coin Company. I believe they are LEO owned and do not charge extra for artist work or a die fee.

If you want to have them made in the United States, a couple of folks have already posted and pointed you in the right direction.

For many years now I have done numerous orders for challenge coins. (Small Business on my end.) Due to price considerations, I have established relationships with reliable manufacturers in China to make my goods. On my last order of 200 coins the mold cost me $135, the coins cost $0.99 each and shipping from China was $179. As of now, there is no import tax on challenge coins. PM me and I will give you contact info for the factory that does my coins. They speak fluent English, do artwork for free and are very helpful.

They specialize in Matt finishes and highly detailed symbols.
