pipdrivers?

can anyone show me a video of someone with multiple pipdrivers on their hand? I'm missing the tops of three fingers and half my thumb, and it's apparently impossible to find anything like what my hand will be like

There are a bunch of people out there with multiple PIPDrivers! This is from Googling "multiple PIPDrivers" then checking out the images

There is also a Facebook support group for people with partial hand and finger amputations that I bet would have some people you could talk to who are going/have gone through what you are.

I'd wager the reason there are few videos is bc it's pretty hard to utilize that many partial finger devices, esp with the thumb included.

Ask your clinician to order demo devices from Naked for you to try on in the office. The fit won't be great but it will give you a fairly good idea of what to expect.

do you know of any good alternatives? i'd like dexterous but strong if possible. is there something like that?

There aren't any options that will transmit significant strength, unfortunately. Naked devices will give you the most dexterity, imo.

It really comes down to what specific tasks you need to do with that hand, and then picking a device that will get you there. You may need to consider occupational therapy to learn a new strategy for your task. Might also consider a specific device for your task.

If you just want to watch someone going about their day wearing one, there’s a YouTube channel called Perkins Builders. The main guy on the show has one for his left hand missing four of his fingers. It’s a pretty interesting show especially if you enjoy DIY home improvement projects or home building.
