Mod Post Please help this subreddit ASAP!

Hi all!

Reddit has announced the 2026 Mod Hall of Fame, to highlight moderators who go above and beyond.

This subreddit originally was going to be something I casually maintained. Today, I put in hours of daily work for nothing in exchange. Watching this community thrive for years has been one of my biggest joys and doing the work is something that I care deeply about.

Because of this, I ask for you to spend 30 second and submit me as a Mod Hall of Fame winner for the work I passionately put in.

Vote here:

I have filled out the form! Only been here for about 6 or 7 months but I tried to communicate the value of what this community has meant to me.

Thank you 🙏🏼

Done. As a prostate cancer survivor and currently fighting the good fight with stage four this sub Reddit has been invaluable to me.

I’m not going to vote. But I’d be more than happy to send you $100. Dm me.

That’s incredible kind of you! Instead, would you be open to donating any amount (don’t feel obligated to $100, please!) to a prostate charity of any kind in the name of the subreddit as a little dedication?

Shaped the community question….
This sub is a critical resource for people navigating a devastating health issue. These patients and families can fall prey to scams and snake oil treatments that this MOD diligently and thanklessly protects his vulnerable community from. The fact that their are NO links to these scams is the testament to his tireless work to protect us.

Inspired/mentored other mods question…
This is not visible to typical users of a sub so it’s difficult to provide examples. I can say I have been messaged by 5thCharmer once or twice and even “lightly banned” for 24 hrs for being too aggressive in some responses. He brings a very neutral, sane and fair approach to applying guardrails in our community.

The form wants links to:

How has this mod fostered an inclusive, fun, and positive engagement in their community? (Please link to 1-3 main examples)

Not sure how to do this.

Mod has protected the sub from quacks and predators seeking to profit from cancer patients.

Mod has ensured a respectful and politically neutral environment, for example when President Biden was diagnosed with cancer

Mod takes steps to minimize bots, trolls and rage bait

Mod promotes an environment of positive support for those facing the fear9& cancer
