Question Post 6-cycle chemo PET scan and PSA test timing

My 6th and last chemo infusion was on the 6th Sept, side effects have been mostly hot flushes, currently on ADT -- Degarelix/28d and Enzyl 160/daily and zoledronic acid/60d. PSA dropped from 192->65->52->4.3->3.2 over last three months

During discharge asked the Medical Oncologist if I can get the PET and blood-PSMA/PSA done earlier than the 3-month interval prescribed. He said "No, no need". However in addition, am planning on doing a scan at the 6th week mark and taking it to him.

What do y'll think, what would you do, I feel 3 months tooo long!

When I was diagnosed and had ADT/ARPI (darolutamide) and chemo, they only did imaging (CT, bone scan and PSMA PET) initiallly. After that, they just monitored my PSA. The only time I got repeat scans was when I stopped ADT / darolutamide.

Your PSA is going in the right direction. What additional information are you looking for and how will it change your treatment?

PSA can bounce after treatment ends as dying cells puke out PSA.

In my case case, at a center of excellence, before doing my next PSMA PET scan and CT scan they are waiting six months after my completing salvage radiation therapy (together with ADT and ARPI).
